As we work in Belfast and live in the surrounding areas we like to bring all the latest film and TV news from the city. The Belfast film industry has grown in popularity over the last number of years due to Game Of Thrones being filmed in Titanic Studios and on location across Northern Ireland.

Belfast’s newest film studio, Belfast Harbour Studios, has just been completed and no time has been wasted on bringing work to the studio. The upcoming SyFy TV series ‘Krypton’ has arrived in Belfast for post-production and will begin filming in the Harbour Studios come the end of the summer.

If you are unfamiliar with the show let me give you a quick rundown.

The show is set two generations before the destruction of the planet Krypton and follows Superman’s grandfather, Val-El, whose House of El was ostracized and shamed. He must fight to redeem his family’s honour and save his beloved world from chaos.

Full cast and crew, which includes renowned screenwriter and producer David S. Goyer and Game Of Thrones actor Ian McElhinney (Barristan Selmy), can be found here.

The pilot is due to drop sometime in 2018 after being set back twice due to the changing of locations – Montreal to Serbia and now Belfast.

I will leave you with footage of the new studio and the teaser trailer for ‘Krypton’ that was later taken down by Warner Bros.
